The work carries the tonal weight of distant landscapes—rooted in shadow, suffused with muted warmth—while remaining untethered to any singular place. It holds space for perception to settle, shift, and linger in the indeterminate.
Across the series, color fields shift from grounded, dusky tonalities to airy, diffused light, suggesting moments at the cusp of transformation. The paintings remain deliberately unresolved, holding space for the viewer’s own perception to complete them. Using diluted acrylics on untreated linen, she allows pigment and surface to interact freely, embracing material unpredictability.
