Ayala Braidman / Lava Objects
Porto, Portugal
Ayala Braidman, the artist behind Lava Objects, is a multidisciplinary creator based in Porto, working primarily with ceramic and paper-mâché. With training in industrial design, her practice merges tactile craftsmanship with a precise understanding of form and material.
Her work draws inspiration from the quiet drama of desert landscapes, exploring muted tones, shifting textures, and an atmosphere of stillness. Sirocco, her latest series of sculptural works, continues this meditation on place, memory, and reflection.
Ayala’s pieces have been exhibited at Lisbon Design Week and are available through select shops in Porto.
